The short version: The app processes its data on your iPhone. It has no account, backend, analytics, advertising, or cloud sync. We receive information only if you contact us, and the website host may process basic request information.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to the Block until… iPhone app, this website, and support communications. Block until… is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.
2. Information the app uses
Apple Health
The app requests read-only HealthKit access only when you enable a Health rule. It stores that rule’s latest derived daily value, target, completion state, and refresh time. It does not store individual HealthKit samples, routes, workout names, sleep-stage history, or data-source details.
Family Controls and Screen Time
Apple’s Family Controls picker lets you choose apps, categories, or websites to shield. Apple provides opaque selection tokens. Block until… does not learn or transmit the identity of your selected apps or your app and website usage history.
Local settings
The app stores your rules, opaque selections, pauses, running duration deadlines, schedules, permission state, and latest daily Health progress in its private shared app container so the app and its Apple-provided extensions can enforce your rules.
Purchases
Optional Pro purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. The app reads Apple’s signed transaction and entitlement state on your device to unlock Pro. Block until… does not send purchase history, Apple Account information, Health data, or Screen Time selections to us or to another purchase service.
The app has no account, server backend, advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, or cloud-sync feature. The app does not collect precise location.
3. Website and support information
This static website does not use cookies, advertising, or analytics scripts. GitHub hosts the website through GitHub Pages and may process technical request information such as IP address, browser information, and request logs under its own privacy practices.
If you email us, we receive the email address, message, and any other information you choose to provide. Please do not send Health records, Screen Time selections, or other sensitive information in a support request.
4. How information is used
The app uses locally derived Health values and your local settings only to decide whether to apply or remove the restrictions you configured. We use support communications to respond to questions, investigate problems, handle privacy or legal requests, protect the Service, and comply with law.
5. Disclosure, sales, and tracking
Block until… does not sell personal information, share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, use targeted advertising, or track you across apps or websites. The app does not transmit Health information, app selections, or app-usage information to us.
Information you send to us may be processed by our email provider. Website request information may be processed by GitHub as the website host. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or in connection with a transfer of the Service subject to appropriate protections.
6. Storage and retention
App information remains locally on your device until you delete it, reset the app, or uninstall the app, subject to iOS behavior. You can delete individual rules or remove all app information under Settings → Reset Block until….
We retain support communications only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, keep appropriate business records, resolve disputes, protect the Service, and comply with law. Website logs are retained by GitHub under its practices.
7. Your choices and privacy rights
You can manage Health access in the Health app and Screen Time access in iOS Settings. Revoking access may prevent related features from working. Resetting Block until… does not itself revoke Apple permissions.
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you have sent us, email developer@valentinowong.com. We may need to verify your identity. We will respond as required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
8. Security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information. Your app configuration is protected by iOS app-container controls. No method of storage or communication is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Health and Screen Time limitations
Block until… is a self-control tool, not a medical device, healthcare provider, parental-control service, or anti-tamper system. Do not send protected health information or other sensitive records to us. Apple controls HealthKit, Family Controls, Screen Time, and Device Activity frameworks under its own terms and privacy practices.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as the Service or law changes. We will post the updated version here and change the effective date. If a change materially affects your privacy rights, we will provide additional notice when required.
